Storage & Insurance of RWA
Custodians are responsible end to end for storage and insurance of the assets they onboard. This includes selecting appropriate facilities for each asset type, maintaining chain of custody, setting and following an inspection cadence, recording condition and provenance, and holding suitable insurance. These mechanics and the insurance coverage are a core focus of audits. Before you deposit or trade, review the custodian’s storage procedures, insurance terms, and any published audit attestations.
Example: as a custodian, Konvi stores watches in climate controlled vaults and casks in bonded warehouses, captures intake photos and serial or ID details, schedules periodic condition checks, and records key facts that are referenced in the asset claim token (ERC-721) metadata.
Logistics
On a sale, the custodian completes the off chain handover and settlement, then triggers the on chain distribution:
The asset claim tokens (ERC-721) representing the asset are burned,
EVEC is minted and distributed to holders
